at GI jones the buzz around at the moment has nothing to do with grand final weekend but our new obsession with Dr. Scholl white flats!

G. jones has predicted that they will fast become her answer to havaianas this summer and we are tending to agree! they are comfy look almost designer (see pic of D&G final show) and are available at your local chemist. (win, win, win)

G. jones spent a lazy sunday at the Beach Hotel in byron and caught up with her friend Monica who came down from brisbane. we are in love with Monica's fabulous ring! she bought it in dubai for only 10 Dirhams which is only about $3!! we think its pretty big and pretty awesome. it reminds us of this Aaliyah ring by Samantha Wills.

like G. jones' picks these are the things that you would spot I. jones wearing or using any day of the week. the most sentimental is her collection of Thomas Sabo Charm Club pieces because the charms represent significant memories with each of the people who bought them for her. I. jones is currently wearing the pearl and peace sign charm on the necklace and the lady of Guadeloupe, skull and hope faith and charity charm on the bracelet. (not at the same time though could be a bit of charm overkill haha) 


she is also loving the current Wayne by Wayne Cooper accessories collection and has so far picked up two pieces a studded wallet and this fabulous teal coloured bag which you can wear small over the shoulder or as a carry all. 


finally like Sophie the Giraffe not exactly an accessory but I. jones never leaves the house without putting on one of her favourite fragrances this is just some of her collection pictured but her favourite scent if she had to pick one would be Cinema by YSL.

considering we are a blog centered around accessories both vintage and new we thought that we would share with you the accessories that we wear everyday starting with G. jones. these are the items you would spot her wearing any day of the week. her everyday essentials are one of her four watches, her engagement ring and then any other statement/unusual pieces. her engagement ring, pearl ring, and sterling silver earrings were all custom made and designed by her friend Flo who owns The Byron Jeweller's Workshop you can check out more of his work at his website here.

we cant think of a much better way to spend a spring sunday than like this! G. jones helped her friend Belle welcome her new son Quinn into the world at this delightful naming ceremony garden party. Belle is an events coordinator, so there's no wonder the whole thing looked and tasted spectacular. we just love all the little details like the matching floral cups and saucers, the beautiful yellow roses and fresh strawberries. one of the best touches G. jones thought was that when all the guests arrived they had to find their name tag and on it was your name meaning. such a lovely addition to carry on the theme and a really good ice breaker in talking to new people. so as we are still pretty new we thought we would let you in on our name meanings.

I. jones - Meek, Pure

T. jones - Gift of God

G. jones - Watchful]

and our last name - jones the son of Jone, the Welsh pronunciation of John (gracious gift of Jehovah).

we spotted Shanti again in what seems to be his signature polka dot neck tie and this time he was wearing a red shirt with it's collar up and tailored green pants looking just as suave as ever. but it wasn't his colourful outfit or cowboy hat that caught our eye this time it was his amazing collection of vintage rings! what do you guys think of his style? do you love it as much as we do?
