we cant think of a much better way to spend a spring sunday than like this! G. jones helped her friend Belle welcome her new son Quinn into the world at this delightful naming ceremony garden party. Belle is an events coordinator, so there's no wonder the whole thing looked and tasted spectacular. we just love all the little details like the matching floral cups and saucers, the beautiful yellow roses and fresh strawberries. one of the best touches G. jones thought was that when all the guests arrived they had to find their name tag and on it was your name meaning. such a lovely addition to carry on the theme and a really good ice breaker in talking to new people. so as we are still pretty new we thought we would let you in on our name meanings.

I. jones - Meek, Pure

T. jones - Gift of God

G. jones - Watchful]

and our last name - jones the son of Jone, the Welsh pronunciation of John (gracious gift of Jehovah).

and these are a few photos I. jones took this morning at the organic markets. she feasted on  delicious malaysian style roti, spiraled deep fried potato with sour cream and onion and a heavenly lemon meringue pie.

hump day.

it might already be hump day but we are still dreaming of the weekend here at GI jones. because we are still super young in the blogging scene we thought we would fill you in on how each of us spent the weekend so we can pretend we've known each other forever. 

I. jones spent the weekend in geeky style searching for the iPhone 4. she trudged through 3 suburbs and lined up twice but a new contract and phone number later she finally has the sleek and stylish new gadget.

G. jones took full advantage of the unseasonably fine weather with a picnic in the park featuring this mouth watering strawberry tart from L'Ultime Patisserie in Byron Bay. we can't wait for spring and hopefully more delicious french pastries.

 

and

T. jones stayed on task and braved the early mornings searching garage sales for fabulous new vintage finds for GI jones accessories her favourite find this vintage leather OROTON coin purse found just in time to squeeze into our new collection.
