I. jones got her latest mini Diana photos developed yesterday so we thought we would share the results with you. we don' know about you guys but they are making us miss summer already :(

best buys 2010 I. jones

here are I. jones best buys from 2010. she had trouble choosing what her favourite thrifted buy was so she settled with the best value thrifted purchase this Lacoste sport retro small roll bag purchased in brand new condition from an op shop for only $5 that's a saving of $80 amazing! this little sport bag is perfect for overnight stays or the gym. her favourite accessory buy was equally as hard to decide on so she thought she'd share instead her favourite accessories from christmas this Thomas Sabo pearl charm bracelet and a new silver hummingbird charm from her bf and you might recognize the sportsgirl crystal ring in the photo from our wish list post it seems santa must also be reading :) and finally her number one buy of 2010 you might have guessed was also a gift from her bf her cute mini diana camera expect more photos on the blog soon.

merry christmas & a happy new year

merry christmas and a happy new year from all of us here at GI jones !!!

we have been having an eventful but relaxing summer holiday (though most of the time it has felt more like winter) all together and as a result unfortunately our blog and ebay store have been put way down on the priority list, but with the festivities dying down after numerous family feasts, bbqs, quality catch ups, an engagement (congrats Katie & Fraser) and a new baby (congrats Sherry on beautiful baby Bella <3) we are up and blogging again! in the next few posts we will recap our favourite memories of 2010 our best buys (new and thrifted), our favourite christmas presents, new year resolutions and GI jones plans for the new year so stay tuned.

mini diana.

we thought we'd share with you some of I. jones' first mini diana photo attempts. the lady who developed them at big w was quite confused about the diana's ability to do half frame photos so some of the photos were cut in very strange combinations. we were also getting a bit snap happy and kept forgetting to change the focus between different shots, we think thats why some of the photos came out a bit blurry... but we reckon they turned out pretty good for a first try.

the week that was.

hello! we did it again sorry.. we didnt mean to have such a long break. but we've had some technical difficulties (very sloooooow internet) and have been super busy. but we also have all been up to lots of fun things this week we need to fill you all in on :)


I. jones' week was packed full of study, study and more study. but the good news? shes now finished uni for the year (YAY!!!!) apart from study she went out for some delicious german food at löwenbräu in the rocks with T. jones' lovely bf who was in sydney for work. as good as finishing uni was the highlight of her week was an awesome surprise in the mail from her own bf, a Lomo Mini Diana! shes super new to lomography but she still promises to share her first photos with you all as soon as shes finished her first film. dont expect to much lol. despite all the study and the crappy weather in sydney this week I.jones managed to spot a plane written love message in the sky above her apartment on the one day the sun decided to show its face. cute <3 

as much as I. jones' week was study, study, study G. jones' was eBay listings, eBay descriptions and eBay photos. we're sorry we know that we promised the new GI jones collection would be up last week but with the sloooow internet it wasn't really possible. but thanks to G. jones' hard work all this week look out for them on eBay next week. pinky promise this time :)what else did she get up to? nothing less the an extreme and we reckon awesome hair make over or under as the case may be at the famous The God Barber on the Gold Coast! and the cutest thing in her week was her daughter Selma's first circus performance, the two of them even did trapeeze together. we only wish she got some photos. but she did get some photos of her new hair-do.


 


















even though T. jones was missing her bf and partner in crime this week she still managed to have a busy week working and more importantly planning her melbourne holiday! we are all so jealous. she is spending what is surely to be an amazing weekend with her best friends from high school. and even though they have all moved to different towns and cities they have all managed to get the weekend off to spend together catch-up and just have old school fun. sounds like bliss to us. she promises to post heaps of pictures from her trip, when she gets back. if you have any suggestions about where she should visit shes open to all suggestions and recommendations on all must see and must do melbourne attractions.


oh and we almost forgot G. jones has put her entries in the Buy Nothing New Month competition we'll let you know how she goes... but it seems that only one of her entires worked so fingers crossed its the winning one.
